Summer is almost here, but higher energy bills don’t have to come with it!

Summer is most people’s favorite season, but the heat that it brings can lead to an unwelcome increase in your energy bills. Luckily, the summer doesn’t have to lead to higher energy bills, and the energy management experts at Energy Network can help. In our last blog, we went over several tips for a more energy efficient office this summer. Today, we’ll be finishing up our blog series with these last few tips:

#6. Replace your air filters.

Many people don’t give a second thought to the air filters in their offices, but they need to be changed every few months. Not only will replacing the air filters increase the air flow in your office, it can also lower your operating costs and keep the air cleaner.

#7. Keep your air conditioner properly maintained.

Regular maintenance is incredibly important for your air conditioner. An air conditioner that isn’t properly maintained will have to work a whole lot harder to get the job done. By maintaining your air conditioner, you’ll increase its life, efficiency and effectiveness.

#8. Caulk and seal windows and doors.

If there are minor leaks around your windows or doors, you could be losing more cool air than you may think. To make your office more efficient, one of the easiest things you can do is to seal and caulk any openings around your windows or doors.

Although we’ve gone over several energy management tips, there is so much more that you can do to save energy in your office this summer! Contact us at Energy Network today to get started.
